Peekaboo Vision is an independent optometry practice led by Poonam, an optometrist and orthoptist whose career has spanned two countries and every stage of family eye care.
Biography
A career built on patience
Poonam has practised optometry for more than eighteen years across India and Australia. She holds both a Master of Optometry and a Master of Orthoptics — a combination that lets her examine not only how clearly each eye sees, but how well the two work together.
Her early years in busy hospital and community clinics shaped a habit she has never let go of: looking twice, and explaining once more than necessary. It is why appointments at Peekaboo Vision run longer than the industry norm, and why parents so often say it was the first eye test their child enjoyed.
Her special interests are children’s vision, myopia control, dry eye and preventative eye care — the areas where early, considered intervention changes the long-term outcome most.
